SourceCAN is operated by WWMalls Canada Inc., 3301 Country Club Drive, Nanaimo, BC V9T 3B5, Canada. This policy applies to SourceCAN websites, accounts, marketplace services, RFQs, messaging, meetings, funding tools, marketing systems and related services.
2. Privacy Framework
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy law. For activities subject to British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), we apply its requirements; federal PIPEDA may apply to certain interprovincial, international or federally regulated activities where applicable.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect account and contact information, business profile information, identity or verification records, transaction and RFQ data, communications, uploaded documents, payment-related identifiers supplied by payment providers, device/log data, cookie data and information users submit for grant or incentive applications.
4. Purposes
We use information to create and secure accounts; operate search, marketplace, RFQ, messaging, meetings, orders and funding workspaces; verify users; provide support; prevent fraud; administer payments and memberships; improve services; comply with law; and send communications where permitted.
5. Consent and Other Lawful Authority
Where consent is required, we seek consent appropriate to the sensitivity and purpose of the information. Applicable law may permit or require collection, use or disclosure without consent in specified circumstances.
6. Service Providers and Cross-Border Processing
We may use service providers for hosting, communications, analytics, payments, security and other functions. Information may be processed outside British Columbia or Canada and may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.
7. Public Marketplace Information
Manufacturer names, business contact information, capabilities, products and other information intentionally published in profiles may be visible publicly. Confidential RFQ materials and private communications are not intended to be public.
8. Retention and Security
We retain information for operational, contractual, legal, fraud-prevention and recordkeeping purposes and apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the circumstances. No system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Access and Correction
Individuals may request access to or correction of personal information as provided by applicable law, subject to lawful exceptions. Requests may be sent to privacy@sourcecan.co.
10. Marketing Communications
Commercial electronic messages are managed in accordance with applicable Canadian anti-spam requirements. Marketing messages include identification information and an unsubscribe mechanism where required.
